RiverRat Outfitters —Zone 6 Turkey Hunts
Iowa turkey tags are on a draw system but you have a great chance of getting a tag. Last year they had tags left over and tag costs about $100 bucks and your license is about $100 bucks. The draw is every January and is done on the Iowa DNR website. RiverRat Outfitters is located in Zone 6 for turkey hunters. At RiverRat Outfitters our rule is simple…hunt as long as your tag is valid.
The first season is four days long, the second season is five days long, the third season is seven days long and the fourth season is around two weeks long and the Morel mushrooms are out during that hunt, so if ya get lost well at least you won’t go hungry. You are allowed one Tom.
The cost of a RiverRat Outfitters turkey hunt is $500.00 for four days of hunting and lodging. We also have video cameras that mount on your hat that have a rotating lens in them so when you’re looking down the barrel it is to. Video taping your hunt is free unless you break or loose the camera. Extra days of hunting are $150 per day. We will also put a picture of you and your bird on a
T-shirt for free also.
If you have a deer hunt booked you can turkey hunt for free and check out our farms. Guides are $75 per day but to be honest with you we have so many birds that if you don’t get one on your own you were probably sleeping.
We had 100% success rate last year so your chances are very good!!!!
